According to Harriet Sherwood of The Guardian, “Nelson Mandela apparently underwent weapons training by Mossad agents in Ethiopia in 1962 without the Israeli secret service knowing his true identity, according to an intriguing secret letter lodged in the Israeli state archives.”
It turns out that Mandela, when touring the African continent to gain support in combating apartheid, met with Israeli agents in Ethiopia under the pseudonym “David Mobsari” from Rhodesia. He was later photographed as “Black Pimpernel,” while being arrested by South Africans. These photographs, along with writing samples from both, confirmed that Nelson Mandela was both Mobsari and Pimpernel.
