CIS countries to boost military cooperation

Officials of the Defense Ministries of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan attended a meeting of the CIS Defense Ministers’ Council in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
The ministers discussed documents intended to regulate the status of engineer troops staff from the Armed Forces of CIS member states during humanitarian mine clearance, the development of monitorig systems, chemical and biological emergency situations, the use of military-purpose satellites, and flight safety rules in the Armed Forces of CIS member states.
