PACE: Russian scenario is worthy of a response

On April 9, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe adopted a resolution condemning the actions of Russia on the annexation of Crimea from Ukraine and denouncing Russian proposals for the federalization of Ukraine.

“The Assembly strongly condemns … Russian military aggression and the subsequent annexation of Crimea, which is in clear violation of the norms of international law, including the United Nations Charter, the OSCE Helsinki Act and the Statute and the basic principles of the Council of Europe… None of the arguments used by the Russian Federation to justify its actions hold true to facts and evidence,” states the PACE resolution adopted by the majority of votes.
